‘It happened in America’ film series kicks off with ‘Fargo’

Although it may not seem like it in our cozy Ocean State, the USA is an immense place with all kinds of people doing all sorts of crazy things. Come travel the country and see tales that are real and stories that could be true at a yearlong film series at Warwick Public Library on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

On January 14, 2025, see “Fargo” (1996), starring Frances McDormand and William H. Macy. When Minnesota car salesman Jerry Lundegaard hires two heartless criminals to kidnap his wife, virtuous and pregnant Brainerd police chief Marge Gunderson investigates the crime.
