James E. Collins, 73, an electrician for Electric Boat, Groton, CT, for 35 years passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. He was the beloved husband of Ann L. (Franklin) Collins for 51 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Roy E. and Eunice L. (Goff) Collins. James was the loving father of Kerri A. Collins and her husband Ronald Susi Jr., and Kimberly L. Collins; brother of Richard Collins and his wife Nancy, and Edward Collins and his wife Janice. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-7 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Facemasks are required, social distancing will be observed.
