James M. Killion, 71, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Warwick, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of JoAnne Killion for 30 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John J. Killion Jr. and Amy (Barbour) Killion. He served his country honorably with the United States Air Force with duties in Korea and Guam. After leaving the Air Force, he started his own residential development company. He worked as a contractor for the Army Corps of Engineers, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.

He was the father of Charlene Tilden, James M. Killion II and his wife, Rebecca, all of Cape Cod, Mass., and stepfather of Zac Paul and his wife, Brittany, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and brother of John J. Killion III and his wife, Polly, of Warren and Peggy Evans and her husband, Paul, of Warwick,. He was the grandfather of Samantha, Britney, Conan and Larkin and great-grandfather of Max. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Sherman, and grandson, Devyn Killion. He was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 9, at 1:45 p.m. at the Imperial Room, 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI 02905. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m.
