Janice A. Dyer, 85, passed Sunday, October 16, 2022 at RI Hospital. She was the beloved wife for 66 years of Norman R. Dyer. Born in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick C. and Gertrude L. (Flynn) Kenney. Janice was a resident of Warwick for 56 years. She was a communicant of St. Rose and Clement Parish, and was part of its prayer chain. Janice loved gardening and crafting. She enjoyed making personalized cards for family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the loving mother of Karen L. Cross (James), Daniel R. Dyer, Sr. (Debra), Suzanne Jackson (Harold), Timothy Dyer (Anita), and Corey A. Dyer (Dawn). She was devoted to her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of Sandra M. Kenney, Alice Ricardo, Gertrude Moran, David Kenney, Dennis Kenney, and the late Fredrick C. “Skippy” Kenney.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 9-10am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Clement Church, Long St., Warwick. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Shriners, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148 would be appreciated.
