Jeanne C. (Mertz) Lemieux, RN, 74 a retired nurse for the State of Rhode Island, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Theodore K. Haney and William H. Lemieux.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Edward Mertz and Margaret (Gavin) Mertz-Wood. Jeanne was the beloved mother of Ted M. Haney, Carmen M. Lavallee, Robert B. Haney, Teddi K. Haney, and the late Edward J. Haney; loving grandmother of Crystal, Tiffany, Shane, Jade, Charlie, Derrek, Haylee, and Serena; loving great-grandmother of Zoey. She was the sister of James O’Brien, Neddy Mertz, Kathy Schultz, Kerri Potenza, and the late Bobby and Jackie Mertz.
Her funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
