Joan V. Sheridan, 89, died Saturday May 29, 2021. She was the wife of the late Ernest A. Sheridan. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Marie I. (Rousseau) Gillooly.
Joan had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for various retailers in Warwick. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A gifted baker, Joan enjoyed sharing her talents with family and friends.
She was the beloved mother of Michael Sheridan and his wife Maureen, Brian C. Sheridan and his wife Debra and Colleen S. Arruda and her husband Thomas; grandmother of Brian Sheridan, Jaclyn Witterschein, Matthew Sheridan, Kimberly Sheridan, Sophia Arruda and Carter Arruda and great-grandmother of Aiden Sheridan, Dorothy and Miles Witterschein. She was also the sister of the late Charles Gillooly.
Her funeral will be held Monday June 7, 2021 at 10 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in St Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in the RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-6 p.m.
