John H. Cole Sr., 78 passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at his home in Fayetteville, NC where he resided with his wife and daughter.

John was a lifelong resident of Warwick before retiring from the Warwick School Department (Maintenance) and moving to Fayetteville NC in 2015. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast who loved riding his motorcycle and spending time in Oakland Beach.

He was the beloved husband of Diane E. Cole, son of the late Earl W. Cole Sr. and Gladys (Shubert) Cole, brother to Sharon (Cole) France of Havana, IL, the late Earl W. Cole Jr., the late Henry J. Cole and the late Richard S. Cole Sr. Besides his wife and sister, he is survived by his children Jacklynn (Cole) Taglione, Debra Sue (Cole) Generali and William, Kim Marie (Cole) Kane and Walter, John H. Cole Jr. and Debbie, Timothy J. Cole and Rebecca, grandfather of Mandy, Caitlin, Christopher, Anthony G., Steven, Anthony K., Austin, Kianna, John Angelo, Alyssa, Kendra and TJ. Great-grandfather of Cole, Kaylee, Kaitlin, Tyler, Lillian Grace, Emily, Linkon and Madeline. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, other family members and devoted friends.

A private family service was held at his home in Fayetteville, NC. The family plans to have a celebration of life for his first year anniversary in Rhode Island at a future date, which will be announced at a later date.
