Joseph Alfred Lucier, 39, of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Joseph E. and Marie D. (Brooks) Lucier of Warwick. He was the loving husband of Jessica Ruth Whitman-Raymond Lucier, LMHC, LCDP.
Joseph was a graduate of Toll Gate High School and an alumnus of CCRI and Roger Williams University. He went on to work as an Alternative Transportation Coordinator for Tier-One Inc., and in September of 2018, he married his beloved wife, Jessica.
In his free time, Joseph was actively involved in the Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow, Troop 1284, B.S.A. and was awarded the Baden Powell Award for scouting. He was also a volunteer for the Saratoga Museum.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he is survived by his parents-in-law, Robert Whitman-Raymond and Dr. Lee Whitman-Raymond, his grandmother, Arlene M. Brooks, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Joseph also left behind two cats, Winston and Julia, and an Asian box turtle, Michelangelo. They miss him dearly.
Before he passed, Joseph was preparing to enter school to become a social worker. His hope was to work in the healthcare field and to be of service to families with children coping with the same heart condition with which Joseph was born. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting historical sites, cooking for loved ones and taking long Sunday drives.
His Funeral was held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence St, West Warwick. Interment followed at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, Warwick.
