Joseph Francis Kenny, 96, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Brentwood Nursing Home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Anna (Banville) Kenny. He was the loving husband of the late Lillian Mary (Murphy) Kenny.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He went on to work as an Industrial Engineer for the Leviton Manufacturing Company. He was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Warwick.
He is survived by his beloved sons, Joseph J. Kenny and his wife Kathleen of Cranston, and John K. Kenny of West Greenwich, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Thomas M. Kenny (Patricia) of Cranston and brother of the late Evelyn Kenny, Mary Martin, and Rita Synon.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 10AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church, 235 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Due to COVID 19, Health and Safety Regulations were in effect. Private Interment with Military Honors took place at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
