Josephine Ann Munroe, 87, of Warwick, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Stuart Munroe, Sr.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late James and Anna (Corley) Fox. Josephine was a graduate of Cranston High School. She went on to work as a Buyer in the Retail Industry and was a dedicated Navy Wife who traveled with her husband across the country wherever he was stationed. Her family parish was St. Matthew Parish in Cranston before she became a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Warwick. She enjoyed dining at Richard’s Pub, Crow’s Nest, and the Greenwood Inn.

She is survived by her beloved children, Robert S. Munroe Jr. and his wife Ana of North Kingstown, and Therese M. Curran and her husband Paul of North Scituate. She was a sister of the late James Fox, Elizabeth Gonsalves, Kathleen Fox, Anna Allien, Theresa McOsker, and Rita Nerney.

Josephine’s Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Brentwood Nursing Home for the loving care they provided to their mother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020 at St. Matthew Church, Corner of Park and Elmwood Avenues, Cranston. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted and Interment will be private.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Urquhart Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick. Due to COVID 19, Health and Safety Regulations will be in effect.
