Laura (Piscopio) Petrarca, age 95, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, May 14, at Sunny View Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Domenic L. Petrarca.

Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Pietro and Lucia (Tortorigi) Piscopio, she was a life-long Warwick resident.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Brown and her husband Fredric, of Warwick; two granddaughters, Kristin Breiding and her husband Paul, and Amy Gray and her husband Allan; and four great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Gerald Petrarca. Laura also leaves two sisters and two brothers, Jennie DelPozzo of Cranston, Joseph Piscopio of Florida, Peter Piscopio of Warwick, and Lucy Almberg of Cranston; many nieces and nephews; and her dear and loyal friends, Nancy Baker, Paul Parent, and David Revens. She was the sister of the late Mary Appollonio, Anthony Piscopio, Carmine Piscopio, and Rose Petrocelli.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Laura’s “family” at West Bay Assisted Living.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 19, in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Her burial was private.
