Laurie Ann Beaumier, 55, of Foster, formerly of Warwick, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Kent County Hospital. She was the loving wife of Wayne B. Beaumier.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of Paula (Grimes) Duffy and the late Richard Leach. Laurie had a way of brightening any room she walked into. She loved with all she had. Her passion other than her family was helping others. She worked as a Home Care Provider for the J. Arthur Trudeau Center assisting adults with developmental disabilities and in her spare time, she would assist with events such as the Special Olympics and event planning. She also assisted many elderly members of the community with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and other activities of daily living while still managing to find time to always be there for all of her many friends and family members whom she loved dearly. In July of 2010, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and it barely slowed her down. She continued to fulfill her calling in life of helping others. In August of 2014, her cancer had returned, and she was re-diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. She fought valiantly to regain her health, blessing her family with six additional, beautiful years which she used to develop even deeper family bonds. Although she was unable to devote herself to full time work at this point, she continued helping others. In addition to her work at the J. Arthur Trudeau Center, she was a member of the South Pointe Christian Church in Warwick. She had a tremendous faith in God and that faith, along with so many of the members of South Pointe gave her peace, strength, comfort and determination. She was also a new member of the Recreation Committee in Foster. She found joy in helping others and volunteered whenever she could.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved children, Travis A. Carbonneau (Hilary Hopkins) of Malden, MA, Andreana L. Amaral (Josh) of Warwick, her brothers, Richard Duffy of Warwick and Eric Duffy of GA, her sisters Denise Duffy of Warwick, Susan Bligh-Caddeus of Warwick, and Kathi Williamson of Chaplin, CT and two beloved grandchildren, Jayden and Ariana.

Due to current health and safety regulations, her Funeral Service will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick. A celebration of her life will be arranged at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to: South Pointe Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888 or The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, 249 Roosevelt Avenue, Suite 201 Pawtucket, RI 02860 or The Trudeau Center 3445 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886, are greatly appreciated.
