Leach, Patricia A., 78, Warwick, Loving Wife, Mother, and Nana, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence after a five-year battle with Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension. She was the loving wife of 58 years to Merrick L. Leach.

Born in Providence, Patricia was the daughter of the late Jake Collins and Pearl R. Milliken.

Patricia was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s Academy Bay View in Riverside, RI. Following graduation, she began her career as a Medical Assistant where she worked in private practice primary care for 30 years before retiring from Lifespan. In her spare time Patricia enjoyed knitting intricate scarves, honing her artistic abilities, and filling her home with music by playing the piano. On a perfect day she could be found lounging on her porch reading a good book on her kindle while enjoying the sparkling view of the beach and bay.

In addition to time at home, Patricia loved sailing with her husband exploring Narragansett Bay, forever the 1st Mate to his Skipper. Above all things, Patricia simply enjoyed time spent with her loving family, especially her adoring grandchildren. We will miss her endlessly.

Patricia was the doting mother of Michaela Leach Langlais, Merrick S. Leach, Bryan S. Leach, and his wife Alyssa (Greco) Leach. Beloved Nana of Katherine “Katie” Langlais, Merrick T. Leach, Patrick McMahon, Benjamin “Ben” Langlais, Madison Leach, Elizabeth “Liz” Langlais, and William L. Leach.

Patricia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM in St. Kevin’s Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial to follow at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements by the Iannotti Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Patricia’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) would be appreciated.

“While respiratory issues took her life, she never let it define her.”
