What started as a fun winter activity on Sunday quickly turned into a test of endurance for a group of Warwick dads in the Seventeen Farms section of Cowesett.
It all began with an L.L. Bean igloo brick maker. The kids were excited at first, but as the time passed, their enthusiasm faded. That’s when the dads took over. With a few 2x4s, plenty of snow and some good old-fashioned sweat equity, the dads refused to quit. After four hours, the 7-foot igloo was complete for the neighborhood to enjoy. (Our thanks to Rich Pezzillo, who sent us this information and photos.)
They couldn’t all squeeze inside, so they cooled off outside the Seventeen Farms igloo. Pictured, from left, are Maddie DeNuccio, Oliver Gilden, Violet Gilden, Gian Ferrara, Siena Ferrara, Colin Seaback, Julian Seaback, Olivia McCann, Matt McCann, Kenny Ferrara, Jarred Seaback and Evan Gilden.
