Students at St. Rocco School said their goodbyes to pet therapy dog Emerald on Monday in her final visit to the school this academic year. Pat Kane, Emerald’s owner, used sessions with the dog to impart Catholic faith lessons to the children and teach them about the value of good character. Adored by younger students and eighth-graders alike, Emerald will be missed until her return in September.
