Ernest R. Lewis, 68, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Wesley and Harriet (Precious) Lewis.
He was a devoted father of Shawn Lewis, Dawn (Brian) Goldstein, and Alexandra (Robert) Austin; loyal grandfather of Jonathan, Collin, Braiden, Levi, Paityn and Harrison; cherished brother of Keith Lewis and Pamela Roda; he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis, Charles, Paul, Peter, and Mark Lewis.
A self-made Entrepreneur, Ernest owned many different companies throughout his life.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, he had the ability to bring joy and laughter wherever he went. He embraced life with an infectious energy, never worrying about what others thought of him, and he made every moment count. Ernest was a true entertainer at heart and loved to be the center of attention, whether he was playing guitar, singing karaoke, or cooking for his family, he always made sure those around him were having a good time. Ernest’s dedication, loyalty and love for his family was boundless. He was a constant presence in the lives of his grandchildren, always making time for them and ensuring they were cared for and loved. Ernest will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 1:00-4:00pm, followed by a Chapel Service at 4:00pm, in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick.
