Catherine A. MacDonald (Baynes), 100, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond M. MacDonald for 71 years. Born in Providence, Catherine was the devoted daughter of the late Thomas Baynes and Catherine Johnston. She is survived by her loving sons Robert F. MacDonald (Sandra) and Kenneth J. MacDonald (Susan). She also leaves behind her 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her dear great-grandson William Ray O’Brien.
A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved cheering on the Boston Red Sox and all things chocolate. She especially enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, but most of all, she loved and cared deeply for her family who will all miss her dearly.
