Martin F. “Tootie” Clark was a dedicated husband, father, and friend. He peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the age of 87. Marty was the beloved husband to Janis M. (Amore) Clark and proud father to the late Kimberly A. Clark. Born in Providence, RI, Marty was the son of Leonard and Evelyn (Edgar) Clark. He was predeceased by his siblings Leonard Clark, Norman Clark, and Irene (Clark) Bocook.
After graduating high school, Marty began his 42-year career with American Tourister. Starting as a floor boy, he received numerous promotions and awards. He proudly carried out his role as Production Manager and led a plant start-up in Florida. He also spent 16 years as head of Security at RISD Museum. Outside of work, he enjoyed following and playing sports and making memories with those closest to him. He loved sharing laughing with family and lifelong friends and spoiling his faithful dog, Daisy.
A visitation was held on Monday, April 11, 2022 in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, from 9-10am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Rita’s Church, 722 Oakland Beach, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
