Leo Wallace Meunier, 87, a Warwick resident since 1958, died Monday, February 27, 2023, at home surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Central Falls, Leo was the son of the late Odias and Rose (Lapierre) Meunier. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (Rounds) Meunier.
Leo was the loving father of Leo W. Meunier (Robin) of Cranston, Scott A Meunier (Kathleen), Raymond G. Meunier, Emily R. Meunier-Jones (Adam), and Corey L Meunier (Heather) all of Warwick. Leo was the cherished grandfather of thirteen grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Rita Szydlo-Smith.
Leo served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, retired from the Warwick School Department, was a member St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, and enjoyed working on and reconditioning automobiles.
His Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, with a Requiem Eucharist in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 3257 Post Road, Warwick at 10:00AM. Burial with Military Honors followed at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
Relatives and friends called on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 5:00PM-7:00PM and on Tuesday morning 8:30AM-9:15AM.
