Michael J. Fassel, 38, a lifelong resident of Warwick, RI, passed away Friday October 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Dana A. and Denise E. (Williams) Fassel. Michael was the loving father of Logan J. Fassel; brother of Jennifer K. Fassel-Diiorio, and Anna M. Fassel-Flanary; brother-in-law of Gilbert P. Diiorio and Kevin W. Flanary; uncle of Arianna Diiorio, Cristiana Diiorio, Anthony Fassel, Dana Diiorio, Keanna Flanary, and Declan Flanary.
Michael was employed for 15 years at T.F. Green Airport in fueling operations; he worked formerly at Foxwoods Casino. He was an avid Patriots fan; he loved fishing, bowling, and playing cards with his family. Michael will always be remembered as a front car roller coaster rider and enjoyed playing video games – especially Pokémon – with his son and nephew.
His funeral service will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10am and will be private at the convenience of the family. Visitation Thursday 5-8pm is open to anyone that would like to say a final goodbye and share in our love for Michael at the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick.
