Milton Francis Eastman, 71, of West Greenwich, died on Friday, February 28, 2020. He was the loving
husband of Linda I. Eastman.
Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Harold and Florence (Keenzel) Eastman. Milton was the founder
and owner of Ocean State Building Movers. He moved many historic buildings, including the “Milk Can”
restaurant in Lincoln, a Historic18th century center chimney house in Smithfield, and the Admiral Dewey
Inn in South Kingstown. He also worked at Little Rhody Machine Repair in Coventry.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Southern New
England Truck Pullers Association (SNE).
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Christopher S. Eastman of West Greenwich and Katie Eastman Cahoon and her husband Kyle of Richmond, his siblings, Donald Eastman and his wife, Charlotte, of West Greenwich, Shirley McKenna of Richmond, and Richard Eastman, and two granddaughters, Caden and Alexandra. He was a brother to the late John Eastman and Georgia Fontaine.
His committal service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and are asked to meet at the Administrative Building of the Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
