Terrance "Terry" Nadeau of Warwick passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2025, after a brief illness, with his wife Joanne at his side.

Terry, a lifelong Rhode Island resident, was born in Putnam, CT, on October 8, 1938, to Sue and Henry Nadeau. He grew up in Cranston where he graduated from Cranston High School in 1957. He had many stories about childhood adventures in Roger Williams Park – skating on the ponds, horseback riding, skiing and about his trips back to the Moosup, CT, area to visit cousins.

Terry started working in construction with his father for a time after high school but spent his working life as a member of the Teamsters Union as a driver/salesman for several bread and snack companies. His career ended with Wonder Bread in 1999 when he started a long and enjoyable retirement at age 60. He earned his USCG Launch Driver’s License and worked at several Yacht Clubs after retirement where his cheerful presence was always appreciated.

Terry and Joanne Cogswell were married on June 3, 1961, and enjoyed 64 years together in Warwick where they raised their family. Together they bought a camper and enjoyed several seasons of camping together and with family. Terry enjoyed boating and fishing, first from a canoe and later aboard a succession of motorboats. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and Celtics but would watch any sporting event with great interest. He especially enjoyed hearing about and attending his three grandsons' various activities. His and Joanne’s greatest enjoyment was either welcoming their extended family into their home or visiting their children’s homes.

Terry is survived by his wife Joanne and three children - Joe and his wife Nancy, Steve and his wife April, Linda and her husband Mike. He had three beloved grandchildren – Ben, Evan and Alex. He is also survived by his brother Charles Nadeau.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI. Funeral Service and Burial will be private for the family.
