New look, new feel, new logo planned for Kent Hospital

Posted

On Wednesday, May 26 Kent Hospital will unveil a new look and feel, while maintaining the same world-class standard of healthcare that Rhode Islanders have come to know and trust for over seven decades.

Care New England has refreshed Kent Hospital’s brand, to reflect its priority of providing exceptional care and treatment for Rhode Islanders as they navigate their life’s journey from birth to end-of-life care, and everything in between.

The announcement will be the official launch of Kent Hospital’s new brand identity, which includes a redesigned logo, tagline, and website. The new logo is meant to reflect Kent Hospital’s commitment to being a partner in care for every generation of Rhode Islanders. It was designed to evoke feelings of inspiration, positivity, and can be interpreted as a pathway as we celebrate life’s journey for the over 70 years Kent has served the greater communities surrounding the hospital and throughout the state.

The newly redesigned features bridges the gap between Kent’s longstanding history, and a new era of inspirational distinction for generations to come.

“Kent Hospital’s newly updated, fresh look successfully diversifies our identity to reflect the communities and patient populations we serve. We want to remind all who live and work here that we will always be committed to providing the top-tier, quality care Rhode Islanders have come to know and trust,” said Robert Haffey, President and COO, Kent Hospital in a statement.

“This re-brand mirrors the dedication Care New England’s Kent Hospital has to helping patients achieve their desired medical goals, no matter their stage of life or illness, since we first opened our doors to the public. Thanks to a strong clinical affiliation with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, our patients at Kent Hospital are provided with, among other programs and services, cardiologists and thoracic surgeons who are considered among the best in the region, providing expert and personalized care, tailored to fit the unique needs of each individual patient. Kent Hospital is committed to serving all patient populations, insuring that everyone who enters our doors, feels welcome and cared for. I want to thank Care New England’s marketing department and DEI Council, who collaborated on this project, to create a brand and environment that demonstrates to staff and patients Kent Hospital’s truly inclusive environment,” said James E. Fanale, MD, President and CEO, Care New England Health System.

Since it opened its doors in 1951, Kent Hospital, as well as its disciplined doctors, nurses and staff, have been a pillar of the community, caring for the state’s patients, using the latest scientific advances in medicine and state-of-the-art technology.

Among the unique features of Kent Hospital’s new look and feel is a completely redesigned wall where compelling images and words related to the historic and diverse storyline of Kent Hospital will adorn the main entrance hallway, leading into the hospital.

“The new wall captures the essence of the compassionate care that Kent Hospital has been known for throughout the decades. Both patients and staff who walk by this wall will be enveloped within a snapshot of Rhode Island’s community, that no doubt touches so many who were either born here, had surgery, or visited a loved one during recovery,” added Haffey.
