NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a Public Informational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, beginning at 6:00 P.M.   **This meeting is anticipated to be virtual only on Zoom.  However, if the current Executive Order extending EO 22-01 from Governor McKee lapses or is revoked, and if no other legal authorization occurs prior to the meeting date noted above, then an in-person meeting will be held at the Police Department Community Room, 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, Warwick, RI.  The link to the Agenda, which must be posted at minimum 48 hours prior to the meeting, is on the City’s website here:  https://www.warwickri.gov/planning-board**  The purpose of the Public Informational Meeting is to consider a Master Plan application and possible decision for a Major Land Development, such proposed development to be located on Assessor’s Plat 278, Lot 145 and to consist of upwards of 240 apartment units.  Associated with such proposed development, the Applicant is requesting a Comprehensive Plan amendment and zoning map change through expansion of the City Center Gateway District Zone, for Assessor’s Plat 278, Lots 145, 146 and 147.  Further, the City proposes that the requested zone change and Comprehensive Plan amendment also include Plat 278, Lots: 30 thru 42, 103 thru 114, and 144.

A vote may be taken by members of the Planning Board regarding these applications at this meeting; more specifically, the Planning Board may vote on the requested Master Plan Approval, as well as vote on recommendations to the City Council on the aforementioned zone map change and comprehensive plan amendment.
