The 41st Annual Ocean State Grand National Karate Championships was once again a huge success! With competitors from nine different countries and 36 states, this year’s three-day tournament had the best in Sport Karate in attendance!

Some of the big winners were: Kam Dawson (MD) beat Bailey Murphy (CT) for the Men’s Super Fights World Challenge (sponsored by Ocean State Collision Center), Katarina Herman (Canada) won the Women’s Open Weight Fighting and the Women’s Overall Fighting Grand Championship (sponsored by FFM2), Estaban Trembley (Canada) captured both the Men’s CMX Forms and Weapons titles. Also, Enrique Letona (Guatemala) captured the Last Man Standing title for the Men’s Grand Championship (sponsored by the Virtual Fight Tour).

Also in attendance at this year’s event was action film star and Martial Arts legend, Don “The Dragon” Wilson, where he was signing autographs and giving out free T-shirts at the Ocean State Collision booth all weekend.

The Most Supportive School award was won by Leclerc’s Martial Arts from NY. Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi presented the 7-foot trophy and 85-inch color TV!
