Timothy D. Packhem, a retired Warwick Firefighter, passed away peacefully Monday, June 16, 2025, at his home. Born in Wakefield, RI, he was the oldest of three boys born to Elizabeth A. (McHale) Packhem and the late Lewis P. Packhem.
He proudly served as a Warwick Firefighter for 30 years, dedicating his life to protecting his community. In addition to his service, Timothy was the longtime owner of Packhem Painting. He was a passionate sports fan, particularly devoted to the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins. Golfing was a cherished pastime, and he was a proud member of the Alpine Country Club, where he spent many happy hours on the green. In addition to golf, Timothy loved a good card game and participated actively in a league at the Firefighters Club. A proud "Disney adult," he found immense joy in trips to Disney World, where the magic and wonder aligned perfectly with his vibrant personality. He found immense joy in his annual trips to Longboat Key, Florida, where mornings were spent watching the dolphins swim in the Gulf, and evenings unwound with a cigar, a glass of wine, and breathtaking sunsets from his balcony
Known for his generous spirit and mischievous nature, Timothy was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm. He had a knack for bringing laughter to those around him with his quick wit and love for harmless pranks. He was the central figure of his blended family and made it a priority to maintain a great relationship with both of his former wives, ensuring that family bonds remained strong. Timothy's devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, particularly in the unwavering love and care he showed towards his mother. He was the consummate family man, and he will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege to know and love him.
He was the devoted father of Jessica L. Waters (husband, Sean), Hannah E. Packhem and the late Timothy J. Packhem; cherished ‘Grampa’ of Timothy (T.J.), Owen and Emma Waters. He was the brother of Andrew Packhem and Thomas Packhem and the former spouse of Paula Martorelli and Cari Packhem.
