Patricia J. McCrone

Patricia J. (Doggett) McCrone, age 86, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Leo J. “Jerry” McCrone.

Born in Scranton, PA, a daughter of the late William J. and Gertrude E. (Maloney) Doggett, she lived in Warwick for 45 years and in West Palm Beach, FL from 2016 to 2019. Mrs. McCrone was formerly employed as a bank teller at Fleet Bank, later Bank of America. She was a volunteer and former board member at the Ocean State Center for Independent Living, and a volunteer at the St. Timothy Church food pantry.

She is survived by two sons, Paul J. McCrone of Salinas, CA and Patrick J. McCrone of Providence; a daughter, Erin A. McCrone of Warwick; five grandchildren: Ashley E. McCrone, Ryan P. McCrone, Molly K. McCrone, Nicholas P.C. McCrone, and Andrew P.S. McCrone; and two great-grandchildren, Shaun P. McCrone and Brenden L. Barske. She was the grandmother of the late Alex P.J. McCrone, and the sister of the late Nancy McGuire, William J. Doggett, Jr. and Gertrude Pinamonti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 9, at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. The interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Jacob’s Heart (Children’s Cancer Support Services), 680 W. Beach Street, Watsonville, CA 95076.
