Anthony A. Picerno, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. Picerno (Andrade) for 59 years. Born in Providence, Anthony was the devoted son of the late Louis and Josephine Picerno (Mancuso). In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Deneane M. Spaziano and her husband Gregory, Tracy A. Peasley and her husband Kurt, as well as Dr. Toni H. Picerno and her husband James Reynolds. Anthony also leaves behind 7 loving grandchildren: Kohl, Brent, Corey, Brooke, Katelyn, James and Amy; his brother John Picerno and his wife Mary of Winter Garden, Florida; as well as many members of his extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his grandson Daniel Reynolds.

A man of great faith, Anthony was a proud member of the Men of St. Joseph, Saints Rose & Clement Chapter, and willingly volunteered his time and service at the Church. He was a loyal employee of the Providence Journal, and more recently at Federated Lithographers Printers for over 20 years. In his free time, he very much enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Warwick Senior Center, watching his beloved Yankees play and cherished the time he spent attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and concerts. Above all, Anthony loved his family who will all miss him dearly. His family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Saint Elizabeth Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially Isabel, for the great care and attention they showed.
