Priscilla A. “Pat” (Kenny) McCarthy, age 100, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at home.
The wife of the late Francis J. McCarthy, she was the devoted mother of Patricia E. Lyons and Kathleen A. McCarthy of Warwick; and the grandmother of O. Stephen Lyons, also of Warwick.  She was the sister of the late William H. Kenny.     
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Herbert Kenny and Margaret (Brophy) Godlesky, she lived in Warwick since 1957.  She was the step-daughter of the late Joseph Godlesky.
During World War II, Priscilla served as a U.S. Navy WAVE from August 1943 to February 1946, and was stationed at the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Washington, D.C.  Priscilla loved her years serving with the Navy.
Priscilla was employed as a bookkeeper for the Almacs stores until retiring.  She earlier worked at New England Telephone Co. in Newport and Federal Chain. 
She enjoyed traveling with her daughters to Switzerland, Italy, Ireland, New Hampshire, and Walt Disney World in Florida.  She also enjoyed going to Foxwoods Casino and Providence Performing Arts.
Priscilla was devoted to her Catholic Faith, and attended mass daily.  A communicant of St. Rita Church, she was a former member of the Women’s Club and Choir at St. Timothy Parish.
She was a caring person to her family and friends.  She will be truly missed.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 1, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, 722 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick.  Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.  Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
