The Players at Barker is proud to present the New England premiere of Red Maple, written by veteran actor/writer/director/ David Bunce and Directed by Jeff Sullivan (The Shadow Box and The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife). Red Maple will stream live from the Barker Playhouse on May 21, 22 and 23, 2021.

In this comedy/drama, two couples assemble for a dinner party. The host couple is recently separated, the wife having moved to a nearby motel. The two of them have pledged not to tell anyone. The guest couple, considering leaving the area for Florida, have a few secrets as well—the husband has been in an automobile accident with some outrageous consequences. Into their midst comes a realtor, ostensibly seeking an apartment to sell, who has secrets of her own.
Starring David Crossley, Kathleen Oliverio, Mark Lima, Joyce Leven and Stephanie Whipple, this highly entertaining play is an expert mix of farcical extremes, moving pathos and witty timing.
