To the Editor:
I applaud Jane Kenney Austin’s efforts to save Warwick from more God-awful ugly arrays of free-standing solar panel installations.
Every Warwick resident who wants to preserve the natural beauty of our city should support Austin’s brave opposition to unrestrained solar development (“Solar future up for grabs”, Dec. 23).
Solar developers already benefit from inordinately generous taxpayer funded energy credits. There is no reason for the City of Warwick to add to their profit margins by granting them unwarranted zoning changes.
