Robert Ferrucci, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Cranston, RI in the presence of his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Jeanette (Sweet) Ferrucci for 63 years. Robert was born in Providence, RI on November 10, 1938 to Mario and Anna (Colore) Ferrucci. Bob owned the well-known and successful Oaklawn Hardware Store for 28 years, going on to become the Superintendent of Public Buildings for the City of Cranston for 15 years and later serving for the Rhode Island Convention Center. He was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Saint Joseph’s Men’s Guild and enjoyed singing in the choir.
He was the brother of the late Mario (Shirley) Ferrucci and Anthony (Mary) Ferrucci and the brother-in-law of Pat (Flora) Izzo. He is survived by his daughters Lori O’Shea (Barry Edelstein), Lynn Pickering (Kenneth) and Lu-Ann Ramsey.
