Robert G. Robinson, 83, died Sunday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Marjorie G. (Horton) Robinson.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Roy and Dorothy (Hammond) Robinson, he had been a Warwick resident for the past fifty years. Mr. Robinson was a die cutter at the S.P. Harris Company for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. He was the proprietor of Bob’s Baseball Cards and Collectibles in Pawtuxet Village. He was a volunteer firefighter at the Pawtuxet Volunteer Fire Department and volunteered at the Special Signal Club for many years. Bob also served a s president of the Post Card Club and was a member of the Rhode Island Philatelic Society.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Donna L. Robinson of Clearwater, Florida and Diane I. Mattera of Warwick; a sister, Shirley Bettencourt of Florida.
His funeral services and burial in Pawtuxet Memorial Park will be private.
