Robert W. Ridgewell Jr., age 88, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Pascoag. He was the husband of the late Mary M. (Houlton) Ridgewell.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert W. and Camilla (DeLucia) Ridgewell, he was a life-long Warwick resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Ridgewell was employed as a draftsman with several area companies before retiring. He was an avid golfer, and an artist who enjoyed drawing and painting. An all-around handyman, he loved to tinker with building and fixing things.
He is survived by two sons, Robert W. Ridgewell, III of Bethany Beach, DE and Steven J. Ridgewell of Paxton, MA; a daughter, Lynn E. Eaton of Warwick; nine grandchildren: Robert, Ryan, Jessica, Janelle, Caroline, Cameron, and Colin Ridgewell, and Jack and Leah Eaton; two sisters, Eleanor Nardolillo of Warwick and Jean Whittaker of Virginia Beach, VA; and a brother, James Ridgewell of Florida. He was the brother of the late Barbara Golembeski.
His funeral services, and burial with military honors, will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
