Ronald B. Minear Sr., 82, a plant manager for Rubber Covered Products for 43 years before retiring passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Cabral) Minear for 25 years.
Born in Buffalo, NY, he was a son of the late Clement and Evelyn (Minear) Yeager. Ronald was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 272, Tri State City Elks, Oakland Beach Fire Barn and a member of American Legion Post #43.
Ronald was the loving father of Rene Maddalena, Ronald B. Minear, Jr., (Sherry), Robin Lapp, (Michael), Donald Marcille, (Patricia), Kimberly Moniz and the late Kevin Minear and Rhonda M. O’Brien; loving grandfather of Jessica, Jennifer, Kimberly, Dillon, Michaela, Devin, Ronald, Jackie, Norman, Samantha, Krystal, Heather, Megan, Dylan, Jesse, and Jake; loving great-grandfather of Wyatt, Autumn, Nick, Brooklyn, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Joey, and Jaxson. He was the brother of Adeline Surovich, Pat Yeager, Paul Yeager, (Jackie), John Yeager and the late Nancy Starr and Betty Yeager. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10-12 noon with a service at 12 noon in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter.
