The Pilgrim softball team rolled past Cumberland last week. Marin Prest had a monster day at the dish, driving in seven runs on three hits, including two home runs to propel Pilgrim to the Division I win.
Gretchen Dombeck got the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing one earned run while striking out seven batters.
Toll Gate 16, Woonsocket 1
The Titans made quick work of Woonsocket last Friday in three innings.
Delaney Wilson drove in three runs for Toll Gate while Avry Dewar and Reagan Motta also drove in two runs each. Wilson got the win in the circle, pitching two innings and striking out five batters.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Toll Gate 10, North Smithfield 9
Delanie Wheeler stayed sharp for Toll Gate as she scored four goals to lift the Titans to the win on Tuesday.
Ayla Paley also scored three goals, while Alyson Smith added two and Guliana Sirignono one.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Lincoln 3, Pilgrim 0
The Pats were swept by the Lions on Monday night.
Alijah Newton led Pilgrim with five kills in the loss.
BASEBALL
Hendricken 11, Catholic Memorial 1
The Hawks cruised past Catholic Memorial in an out-of-state matchup.
Braeden Campbell drove in three runs while Edgar Rodriguez knocked in two more to pace the Hendricken offense. Dylan Poloski got the win on the mound, pitching four innings and striking out six batters.
BOYS TENNIS
Warwick 7, Central 0
The Warwick co-op swept Central last week.
Cornelius Zmed won his first singles match 6-1, 6-1 and Josh Maynard won 6-4, 6-3 at second singles. John Maynard won 7-5, 6-3 at third singles while Etienne Degos took home a 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 victory in the fourth spot.
Jacob Scott and Will King won their first doubles match 6-3, 7-6. Avery Marques and Alex Mihalos took home a 7-6, 6-4 win at second doubles. Warwick won the third doubles match by forfeit.
The team sent 10 players to the state qualifying tournament last week and Zmed took home a 6-2, 6-1 win to earn a spot in the individual state tournament.
