The Pilgrim football team dropped its second straight decision when Mt. Hope held on for the 24-19 win.
Jacob Soulliere, Carter Clifton and Luke Ruscio all rushed for touchdowns for the Pats, who dropped to 2-2 overall and will be taking on East Greenwich this Saturday night on the road.
North Smithfield 27, Toll Gate 26
The Titans dropped a heartbreaker against the Northmen in a DIV battle last Thursday.
Despite allowing 27 points in the first half, the Toll Gate defense rebounded to shut North Smithfield out in the second and get back into the game. Toll Gate quarterback Nicholas Bruner connected with Brayden Healey for a touchdown while Jonathan Almeida also found the end zone. Anthony Merola rushed for a score in the first half for the Titans as well.
BOYS SOCCER
Coventry 1, Pilgrim 0
The Pats were shut out by the Oakers on Tuesday. Keeper Chris Williams finished with 9 saves in net for Pilgrim.
Hendricken 2, Moses Brown 2
The Hawks tied the Quakers in a huge Division I battle on Tuesday. Jack Mefford and Charlie Urso scored for the Hawks, who remained in first place with the draw.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Toll Gate 3, Achievement First 0
Mary McNulty’s big season continued on Tuesday as she guided Toll Gate to a 3-0 sweep. McNulty racked up 11 kills in the win while Samantha Meunier chipped in 4 kills.
Cumberland 3, Pilgrim 0
The Pats were swept by the Clippers on Monday night. Kayli Sherlock led Pilgrim with 6 kills.
