One in a series of open houses for incoming students to register under the Promise Program, which legislators made permanent this year, was held June 29 at the Knight Campus of CCRI. Prospective students had the opportunity to speak with department personnel about courses, register, as well as get a COVID-19 vaccination. Vaccinations will be required of students taking in-person classes. College staff said Promise registrations (two years free for recent high school graduates) are running ahead of last year. Additional enrollment open houses will be held at the Knight Campus from 8 a.m. to noon on July 28 and from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 10. Liston Campus enrollments are on July 20 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Aug. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m..
