Time to crow about farmers’ markets

Mo, the popular mascot of gc Farms was back at his post Saturday at the Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market entertaining shoppers with his perky curiosity and white plumage. What Mo lacked in musical ability Liam Derosa, an eighth grader at Park View Middle School made up for as he played jigs, reels and an occasional classical piece. Liam started playing at the market two years ago, but with the pandemic couldn’t play last year. He’s happy to be back as are Samantha Green and Taylor Nieves-Malik from Beans and Buns whose wide array of baked goods was a big attraction. Above , Maggie Whitten introduces her son Henry Garvey to Mo who was quite comfortable in the arms of Dylan Reynolds. (Warwick Beacon photos)
