Spring has arrived although the weather over the weekend had some wondering if that was the case with flowers brightening West Shore Road in Conimicut and the face of City Hall. The Conimicut Village Association funds the hanging planters from lampposts along with flags for Memorial Day weekend. The planters went up Friday. Jack Welch is seen here. And Mayor Frank Picozzi purchased petunias for the window boxes on the face of City Hall. When he was spotted leaning from the windows to install the flowers, firefighter came to assist with a ladder truck. The mayor also acquired a watering tank with hose that he is pictured using from his office. (Warwick Beacon photo and courtesy of the CVA)
