Ward 5 Councilman Ed Ladouceur, left, who faced Republican candidate Danny Hall in the 2012 election, endorsed his former opponent as a candidate for the School Committee this week. Ladouceur said he talked with Hall and “he has the vision and ambition to bring the school system back to where it belongs.” He said he believes Hall has the ability to “unite” the system and “get it to a better place.” Hall said his candidacy is not based on pro-administration, pro-union or pro one political party or another but “pro-kids.” While Hall feels consolidation of elementary schools needs to happen, he favors delaying the process until secondary school consolidation settles down.
