Sandy Lane, perhaps the city’s most traveled road other than Jefferson Boulevard (many roads like West Shore Road, Post Road and Warwick Avenue are state roads), will get a fresh two inch layer of asphalt as part of the city’s $10 million three-year repaving program. Department of Public Works Director Eric Earls projected the paving portion of the project, estimated to cost $350,000 to $400,000, to be completed next week. T. Miozzi Inc. of North Kingstown is doing the work. Mayor Frank Picozzi said Monday he didn’t want to see the road go through another winter without being addressed. Conditions at the south end of Sandy Lane will be fixed by National Grid, Earls said. (Warwick Beacon photo)
