The Marine Trades program at Toll Gate High School received a welcome donation from AirGas, the company that provides shielding gas and materials such as stick rod and MIG wire for the welding program. The donation that program instructor Chris Bianco valued at $5,000, included gloves, grinders, face guards and a welder. “This is huge,” said Bianco. “They are a tremendous partner with the school.” On average Bianco said 5 to 6 graduates of the program go on to get high paying welding jobs at Electric Boat.
