It has been a busy spring season so far for Warwick’s local youth sports athletes and things will only get busier in the coming weeks. Baseball leagues such as Apponaug Cal Ripken and Warwick Continental American got their seasons underway, holding their annual Opening Day ceremonies, while other leagues like Warwick Fire Fighter’s Soccer also kicked things off. Pictured at left are WCA’s Carl Hjerp, Brady Gribbin, Elizabeth Molina and Jack McCarthy, while Mayor Frank Picozzi (above) tosses the first pitch. For more shots of our local athletes, check out page 27. (Photos by Alex Sponseller)
