Sheryl Lynn Rabil, beloved daughter of James and Carole Scotti of Warwick, RI, passed away on the morning of Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the age of 58.

Sherry was born in Warwick, RI on November 22, 1961 to Jimmy and Carole Scotti. She graduated from Pilgrim High School in 1979 as an award winning Business student and was recruited by American Universal Insurance in Providence due to her excellence in her studies at Pilgrim. Throughout the course of her long career in insurance and law, Sherry’s talents as an expert in mortgage acquisition made her highly valuable to many law firms. Sherry was a devoted mother and known to all as a gentle soul who only sought peace and kindness. She was a statuesque beauty who carried herself with a sense of grace. Her laugh was infectious and her smile radiated an inner glow which revealed empathy and decency. She loved her sons immensely and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her circle of lifelong friends was wide as she was an easy-going person and an intense listener. She will be missed by her family and friends who take solace that she is now at peace in heaven and resting in the loving embrace of her father’s strong arms.

Sherry is survived by her mother Carole, her sisters Debra Pilkington and Karen Scotti, her sons Ryan (Kristen) and Evan (Annie), her grandchildren Quinn and James and her nephew and niece Grant Pilkington and Alison Scotti-Gouveia. She also left behind a lifetime of friends as Warwick was her only home and she was loved and cherished by friends from her neighborhood, school and career.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 24, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
