To the Editor:
Make no mistake about it, the COVID-19 virus has plunged our nation and world into a deep serious “darkness.”
With all the negativity and fear around us, it’s easy to fall into the trap of “gloom and doom.” However, this is the time to lift yourself up along with others, to “Let your Light Shine!”
The Catholic religious group called the Christopher, was founded in 1945 by Rev. James Keller, M.M. He was convinced that each person is uniquely important, that everyone has a personal responsibility to change the world for the better, and that positive action can work miracles.
The Christophers’ slogan is very fitting in terms of the effects of the coronavirus: “It’s better to light one candle; than curse the darkness.”
“We the People” of this great nation, need for all us to light our own candle and let our light shine. Reach out to someone in need and take action, help someone in whatever way you can.
Remember, “The heart beats the happiest when it beats for others!”
