Nearly 300 teachers and school personnel received their first Pfizer vaccination Saturday at the Vets Middle School clinic run by the city and staffed with volunteers. The week before about 400 school personnel received their first shot. According to Warwick Fire Chief and EMA director Peter McMichael this is the last of the first vaccinations the city is doing. Clinics from here on are for second dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. With increasing amounts of the vaccinations and more locations providing the vaccine, speculation at the clinic Saturday was that it wouldn’t be too much longer before there is ample vaccine to meet the demand.
