Supporting our locally run and owned businesses continues to be especially important during this pandemic. Businesses are facing a long road to recovery. Many industries have made major adjustments to reopen and serve their customers; however, uncertainty and financial hardship continue to weigh on local companies.

The latest MetLife & U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Coronavirus Impact Poll showed that 70% of small businesses are concerned about financial hardship due to prolonged closures and 58% worry about having to permanently close. 65% of small businesses continue to be concerned about having to close again or stay closed if there is a second wave of COVID-19.

The people that own, run, and work in these local businesses are our family members, friends, and neighbors. Not only do these individuals have to worry about making payroll and producing a quality product or service for their customers, they also have to keep up to date with the latest federal, state, and local guidelines.

If you are able, please continue to patronize our locally run small businesses. Permanent closures of these businesses would negatively impact so many in our community. We can help these local businesses on their long road to recovery by shopping and buying local.
