Steven Alexander Kent, 69, of Richmond, RI, passed on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joan Marie (Barreiro) Kent.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the loving son of the late Robert “Bob” and Elaine Kent. Steven was currently the President of Kentco Development, Inc., a builder of residential and commercial properties.
In addition to his loving wife, Steven is survived by his beloved son: Steven A. Kent, Jr., (Anna) of Richmond; two brothers: Robert G. Kent (Karen) of Richmond and Michael C. Kent (Kim Fairbanks) of North Kingston; a sister: Kristin Jane Marciezyk (Charles) of Coventry; his cherished grandchildren: Emma & Jasper; sisters-in-law: Mary Jane & Peter Theroux and Susan & Steve Essex; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews.
The Kent Family wishes to thank Dr. Christopher Cosgrove, MD, the Dialysis Center of Warwick and the ICU and Emergency Room Staff both at Kent Hospital for the exemplary care extended to Steven during his illness.
His Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private.
