Arthur Defrance and his brother, Peter, who carry on the business their grandfather, Arthur (known as ‘Shorty’), started in 1936, were dismayed to discover a brick had been thrown through the plate glass window of the Hillsgrove Service Center, 1965 Post. Rd. on Nov. 20th between 5:30 and 11 p.m. They found the electric clock that has hung in the window since the early 50s and a vintage cash register that has not been used for years gone. They would love to get them back and restore a fixture that until now has stood the test of time. (Submitted photos)
